Kara Expeditions

Deb has devoted her life to the outdoors, and it shows in her teaching. Since graduating from University in Glasgow with a BA in Outdoor Education, she has worked all over the world raft guiding, kayaking, expedition leading and teaching outdoor activities.
She is a long-term member of the British Ladies White Water Rafting Team, as well as a member of a leading ladies adventure racing team.
We’re proud to have Deb’s skills as a leader and teacher on KARA’s expedition team.

 





What has Debs been up to recently?

Bob’s spectacular kayaking skills and sunny character have made him a hero on and off the river. After studying Outdoor Education, he taught in outdoor centres throughout the UK before working abroad for many years as a river guide.
Bob’s passion for the outdoors doesn’t stop with kayaking and he will just as often be seen out mountain biking, climbing, surfing, or snowboarding. He has travelled extensively and is a great expedition member having completed missions all over the world including Chile, Argentina, India, Africa, Iran, Turkey, China and Europe.
Bob’s patience and positivity make him the perfect mentor for kayakers of all ages.



What has bob been up to recently?

Deb is a champion kayaker, wilderness guide and photographer. She has been the World Champion, European Champion and British Champion – and many consider her one of the best female white water paddlers in the world.
Deb is an infectious person to be around and her enthusiasm for the river, for kayaking, nature and more soon rubs off on those around her.
She is always striving to increase her knowledge and understanding of river safety and wilderness medicine. After paddling with Deb, not only will you have had a great time, but you will also have learnt a lot too.
Deb has paddled all over the world, both as a freestyle kayaker continually searching for bigger and better waves, and as an expedition paddler on numerous exploration trips.

What has Debs been up to recently?

Charlotte is a disability equality trainer and massage therapist, with a background in the media. She has kayaked and rafted in some of the world’s top destinations, and is passionate about making the wilderness accessible to all.
Charlotte is registered blind and wants global travel and adventurous sports to be open to everyone regardless of their level of ability.
Charlotte’s skills are numerous and her ability to make the trips run smoothly comes from years of experience in travelling and working in logistical roles. Her positivity and enthusiasm always helps to ensure people enjoy themselves wherever they are.




What has charlottes been up to recently?

Quentin has over 15 years experience in the outdoor industry, as a river guide and youth worker. His passion for kayaking led him to travel and explore many of the rivers in Europe and Africa and he spent many years running trips across Europe and multi-day expeditions into the heart of Africa – both on the river and in the bush.
After living and working on the rivers of Africa for many years, Quentin is passionate about the continent, its rivers and the wildlife. Always a key person in the trips out there and in many other destinations, his knowledge and experience helps to make every trip memorable.
His patient coaching skills and great humour will bring out the best in your paddling and ensure you get the most from your trip with KARA.
